But not all malls will offer the experience you may have in mind, so here are the 10 best shopping malls in Bali we really love.

Best Shopping Malls In Bali

Living World Denpasar

image source: Living World Denpasar google business

Living World Denpasar is one of the biggest and most exciting malls in Bali and also one of the largest malls in Southeast Asia, covering more than 120,000 sq meters!

It is modern, spacious and super comfortable to explore. Plus, even though it was just built, it is a masterpiece of Balinese architecture.

Shops

A good mix of international and local brands like Uniqlo, H&M, Vans, Puma, and Birkenstock.

You can also shop at beauty shops like The Body Shops and Watson, check out the gadget retailers such as iBox and Samsung to get official appliances and phones.

Toys Kingdom and other big stores like ACE and Informa can be found here, and those places are amazing for shopping for everything you need for the house, from furniture to batteries, all on a budget.

Dining & Food

The food court has lots of Indonesian and international options.

You can also eat at places like Kimukatsu, Papperlunch, Sushi Go and Sate Khas Senayan, plus there are many street vendors outside the main building.

Entertainment & Fun

Living World Denpasar has a cinema, a kids’ playground and sometimes events at the outdoor amphitheatre.

Monday nights come to enjoy live music.

Icon Mall, Sanur

image source: Icon Mall, Sanur google business

Icon Mall is the newest and one of the most trendiest malls in Bali.

It is in Sanur, and this mall’s proximity to the beach made it super popular among tourists. It is a bit more classy than most malls on the island, where you can shop, eat and just chill.

Shops

You will find popular brands like Coach, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Uniqlo, M&S, and Steve Madden on the ground floor. There is also Sephora and The Body Shop for international beauty products.

If you are into jewellery, you can check out Pandora and Swarovski. For gadgets, there are electronics stores like Digimaps (Apple products) and Samsung.

Sports Brands like Adidas and Puma are also available here. Kids will love the Lego store here and the full Kids’ Station shop with toys for all ages.

The highlight for us, personally, is all the smaller shops and stalls in the garden and open areas selling crafts, handmade souvenirs, jewellery, and little trinkets.

Dining & Food

You can choose from places like Naty’s Bar and Grill, L’Osteria, Yakiniku Like, Blossom Steakhouse and Starbucks for a full meal or a casual coffee. They are all located on the beach floor and have amazing food.

There is also a Floating market area – the only one in Bali!

It is not a big one like in Thailand, but it is still fun, and you can try local snacks and Indonesian food in a cute traditional setting without going to the local markets.

Entertainment & Fun

There is a Cinema XXI with IMAX for movies and a Timezone for games.

Sometimes, they also have cultural performances at the amphitheater and there are lots of green spaces for photos.

Since it’s next to Sanur beach, you can also enjoy a beach walk, even though it is not famous for sunset, it still has a local charm and amazing views with the ocean breeze.

Insider tip: if you’re shopping a lot, download the Icon Bali Mall app to collect and redeem points.

Kuta Beachwalk Shopping Centre, Kuta

image source: Beachwalk Shopping Center google business

Kuta Beachwalk is one of the biggest and most modern malls in Bali, right in front of Kuta Beach. People love it and for a good reason: the open air design (award-winning, by the way) makes it bright, tropical and nice to walk around, and the choice of world-class brands is amazing.

The mall is beautiful with gardens, a koi pond (you can even feed the fish), fountains and a sunset deck where you can dine and enjoy the beach view and sunset.

In our opinion, it is a much better mall in Kuta than Lippo Mall.

Shops

This mall is a shopper’s paradise, with tons of international brands.

You will find Zara (a great big store), Uniqlo, H&M, Bershka, Guess, Converse, Quicksilver, Pandora, Swarovski, Victoria’s Secret, La  Senza, Kate Spade, Coach, Yves Saint Laurent, Timberland and many more.

Whether you’re looking for fashion, accessories , sportswear, or jewellery, Beachwalk has all the popular retail shops that foreigners are familiar with.

Dining & Food

The food court offers a wide variety of local food stalls, fast food, and there are plenty of restaurants like Johny Rockets, Coconut Joes, Roolas Cafe, Tapeo Tapas and Kihana Japanese for sit-down meals.

Rooftop dining is the highlight here, something other malls in Bali can’t beat!

Candylicious candy store is one of our favourite places here, as you can get all the international chocolate and gummies here.

Entertainment & Fun

There is a cinema XXI if you want to watch a movie and live music nights with great vibes.

Not to mention that after shopping, you can walk to Kuta beach or hang out at the Sunset Deck to enjoy the ocean view and sunset. It is one of the best spots to catch the sunset without crowds.

Discovery Shopping Mall

image source: Discovery Mall Bali google business

Discovery shopping mall is a beachfront shopping mall in Kuta with direct access to the beach and a very laid-back vibe.

Discovery Mall is mostly popular with tourists who stay in nearby hotels or visit Waterbom Waterpark in Bali.

Shops

A mix of local and international brands, including Centro Department, Matahari (local department store), Converse and Nike, plus souvenir shops and beachwear stores.

You will not find fancy boutique stores here.

Dining & Food

A few fast food restaurants and beverage outlets with sea views offering Indonesian and Western food.

Our favourite place to eat here is the Vietnamese restaurant Me Vui. Delicious food and very fair prices.

Entertainment & Fun

The biggest highlight is the beachfront area, where you can walk straight to the beach but also play ball – Discovery Shopping Mall has the only 3X3 beachfront basketball court in Indonesia!

They sometimes host events, including Traditional Kecak Dance performances in the evening.

However, the Discovery Shopping Mall doesn’t have a movie theatre. The closest one is Cinepolis at Lippo Mall Kuta.

Trans Studio Mall Bali, Denpasar

image source: Trans Studio Mall Bali google business

Trans Studio Mall is one of the older shopping malls in Bali.

It is located in Denpasar and is fully indoor and air-conditioned, so it is a great escape from the heat.

But the jewel here is the massive Indoor theme park and a rooftop ride you can spot from afar!

Shops

A mix of popular international and local brands, including H&M, Uniqlo and Matahari Department Store, plus fashion, beauty and lifestyle stores.

The choice, in our humble opinion, is not that great compared to newer malls, but still does the job!

Dining & Food

Plenty of restaurants and cafes, along with a food court serving Indonesian and international dishes. It is a good place for lunch, dinner or just a coffee before movies.

Most of the restaurants are located on the ground floor, our favourites are Kimukatsu and RamenYa!

Entertainment & Fun

The biggest highlight is Trans Studio Theme Park, an indoor amusement park with rides and attractions.

There’s also a cinema with a premier theatre (where you get a nice reclining chair and a blanket), and the large central area is sometimes used for events, local markets, and promotions.

Mall Bali Galeria

The semi open-air design makes Mali Bal Galeria feel spacious, but sometimes it can get a little bit hot during the day.

Compared to the newer malls like Beachwalk or Icon Bali, the design is slightly outdated, but it is still a convenient place for shopping on a budget and hanging out like a local.

Shops

You will find a mix of brands like H&M, Uniqlo, Adidas, Hush Puppies, Converse, Planet Sports and Matahari Department Store, plus beauty and gadget stores.

We honestly love Mal Bali Galeria for its good choice of household stores. You can buy a great mattress, appliances, and also fix any issues with your Telkomsel SIM card here.

Dining & Food

There are casual restaurants, cafes and a food court with mostly Indonesian snacks. It is not very fancy at all!

Entertainment & Fun

There is a cinema for movies and sometimes small events in the main area. Traffic around Simpang Dewa Ruci can get very busy, especially during rush hours, and parking can be crowded on the weekends.

Bali Collection, Nusa Dua

Bali Collection is a nice outdoor mall in Nusa Dua with an upscale resort style. It is geared towards foreigners staying in one of the all-inclusive hotels in the area.

Shops

There is a mix of local and international stores, including Sogo Department store, Hurley, Surfer Girl and many more, plus a boutique for gifts, souvenirs and beachwear.

Our favourite part, though, is weekend markets hosted outdoors. Lots of crafts, local brands, and food.

Dining & Food

The mall has plenty of restaurants and cafes like Pica Tapas, Prada Lounge and Grill Maharaja Indian, offering Asian and Western food for any budget and craving.

Sapa Seafood & Grill is one of our favourites for a nicer dinner, as you can order anything from Indonesian staples to oysters here.

Entertainment & Fun

There is sometimes live music and cultural performances. The outdoor layout with walkways and seating areas makes it perfect to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Next to Bali Collection, there is Bali Nusa Dua Theatre, where you can watch the iconic Devdan Show, depicting Balinese and Indonesian culture and showcasing traditional music and dances.

Samasta Lifestyle Village, Jimbaran

image source: Samasta Lifestyle Village google business

Samasta Lifestyle Village is a cozy outdoor mall in Jimbaran, near the beach and Ayana resorts.

It’s not big or very crowded, but it is a great place to spend an afternoon, especially if you have pets, as this mall is pet-friendly!

Shops

Most of the stores are small boutiques, souvenirs shops, art shops and Indonesian lifestyle brands like Bamboo Blonde, Uluwatu Lace and Blue Glue.

It is more about local and unique items, not big international fashion brands.

Dining & Food

Samasta is actually better known for restaurants and cafes than for shopping.

You can find Indonesian, Asian and Western food, plus nice spots for coffee, ice cream (Movenpick), or desserts. It is a good place for dinner or a chill meet up with friends, for sure!

Entertainment & Fun

They sometimes have traditional Kecak or Barong Balinese dance shows in the main area.

Since it is near Jimbaran beach, you can also add a beach walk or seafood dinner to your plan.

Just remember, it is mostly outdoors, so it can get hot during the day or uncomfortable if it rains.

Jimbaran Side Walk

image source: Sidewalk Jimbaran google business

Jimbaran Sidewalk is a simple mall near Jimbaran Beach. It is the biggest mall in Jimbaran since the area doesn’t have many shopping choices.

Shops

You can find brands like H&M and Ace Hardware plus a few local boutiques and lifestyle stores. It is not a luxury shopping spot, but it has enough for daily needs.

Dining & Food

The food area is one of the highlights here.

It has a nice garden-style dining space, so it feels open and relaxed rather than like a typical indoor food court. You can find places like Gyu-Kaku and Pizza Marzano, along with other local restaurants.

But honestly, the food court by Pepito Gourmet supermarket is epic, too, with a huge range of desserts and freshly cooked meals from pasta to sandwiches.

Entertainment & Fun

There is a Cinepolis cinema and sometimes live music in the evening. Other than that, not many entertainment facilities here.

Seminyak Village Square

image source: Seminyak Village google business

Seminyak Square is a small but lively outdoor shopping spot in the heart of Seminyak. It is not very big, but the location is super convenient, and it is often a meeting spot for coffee.

Shops

Boutiques, souvenirs stores, beach wear shops and mini markets are available for quick shopping.

Among more well-known brands, only Aldo, Crocs, and H&M stand out.

Next to the mall, there is also a stretch of smaller shops, where you can find a bookstore (Periplus).

Dining & Food

Plenty of cafes and restaurants around the area, plus casual dining spots inside the complex. Easy to grab coffee or brunch.

Entertainment & Fun

It’s more about the vibe, you can walk around, shop and enjoy the Seminyak atmosphere. Great stop before heading to the beach for sunset time.

However, the highlight is the rooftop spa here (Spring Spa). The prices are on the higher side, but the massages and spa treatments are really nice.

FAQs

What Is The Largest Bali Shopping Mall?

The largest shopping mall on the island currently is Living World.

In terms of overall size and number of shops, restaurants and facilities, it is almost 2 to 4 times bigger than other malls in Bali.

Which Area In Bali Is Best For Shopping?

If you want the most complete shopping experience, Denpasar or Kuta is the best overall.

Both have the biggest and most modern malls, the widest choices of brands, big food courts and cinemas.

Other areas like Nusa Dua and Seminyak are also great for the vibe and local crafts, but for variety and convenience, Denpasar wins.

Is Gucci Cheaper In Bali’s Malls?

No, Gucci is not usually cheaper in Bali, and the prices of luxury brands here are generally similar to those in other major cities. If the price seems much lower than normal, it’s probably fake.

Plus, Gucci luxury boutiques in Bali shopping malls and the airport were recently permanently closed.

Is Shopping Better In Seminyak Or Kuta?

Honestly, for most people, Kuta is better with bigger malls, more brands and easier one-stop shopping.

Seminyak is great for cute boutiques and trendy pieces, but there aren’t as many options overall, and some items may have “tourist” prices.

Is Bali Cheap For Shopping?

To be honest, not really, small souvenirs and local products are affordable, but shopping in malls or buying international brands or designer labels usually costs about the same as elsewhere.

Do I Need To Carry Cash For Shopping In Bali?

Cards are accepted in all big malls and department stores, but if you want to go to local art markets or night markets, cash is king.

Final Thoughts On Best Malls, Bali

For locals, mall visits are a part of quality time with family, especially with kids, as the entertainment facilities and food options are just endless, plus you can hide from the heat or rain.

If you want to jazz up your cultural day trips and just chill for a day, do some window shopping or splurge for real, Bali’s malls have it all! Just make sure to double-check your luggage allowance, as you may have too many things you’d love to buy!
