If a hotel transfer is not available, you have several reliable alternatives. The popular local ride-sharing apps, Grab or Gojek, (the local equivalent of Uber), are the best because they offer pre-locked fares and support cashless payment.
A prepaid airport taxi is also an option.
For travel from other locations across Bali, Grab, Gojek, or hiring a private car and driver are the most convenient and safe choices.
We strongly advise against renting and driving a scooter yourself. South Bali traffic is extremely heavy and chaotic, posing a danger to unfamiliar drivers.
Additionally, it’s illegal to ride a scooter in Bali without a valid motorcycle license from your home country. If you’d like to experience zipping around Bali traffic on a scooter, use the Grab or Gojek apps instead of driving yourself.
Is There A Best Time To Go To Double Six Beach?
While Double Six Beach is great to visit year-round, you’ll experience the most sunshine (10 hours per day) during the peak season, which runs from May to October (the dry season).
Be aware, though, that this period also has substantially higher hotel costs, particularly at venues like the Double Six Luxury Hotel.
For maximum value and the best chance of a bargain at that hotel, consider visiting during the wet season, November-April, excluding Christmas/New Year, when prices drop despite a slight reduction in daily sunshine (8 hours).

Unfortunately, like most beaches in South Bali, the waves that make it a great surf spot also make swimming less pleasant.
It is totally possible to take a splash in the shallows, near the sand, and many local Balinese love doing this, but the strong currents and waves make swimming any farther inadvisable.
The beach really comes alive in the late afternoon and early evening, when both tourists and locals gather and watch the sunset, have a drink, or play an impromptu game of beach volleyball.
Does Double Six Beach Have An Entrance Fee?
Absolutely not. It’s completely free, and the only fee that you might want to pay would be 5000 IDR for parking. Since the beach is within walking distance of all the major hotels and restaurants, there is no real need for parking unless you’re coming from outside of Seminyak.
Also, while the parking lot is secure, we still recommend that you don’t leave any valuables in your car or scooter, just to be safe.
